Louis Flament and Charles Dorange won the ISAF Youth Worlds this winter, in SL16 class.
Now, they sail Bimare F16 with 1D Sails and they join to make the 420 sails further developments.
Here are some sentences from Charles:
“The World Championship took place in Malaysia on Langkawi island from the 27 December to the 3 January. There was a very good spirit in the French team and we were very prepared physically and mentally. We had a lot of chance because the spot was windy and flat, our preferred conditions.. the level was very high, in particular the Australian and New Zealand crews. During the championship, we had a good speed and our tactics choice was trues compared to the other crews. Consequently we won all the races except one because Louis broke his trapeze and fall in water.
The ISAF championship is incredible because we can meet different people from all around the world it’s very rewarding !
Now we sail on Bimare X16 and 420, we hope to be qualified for the world open 420 Championship and if not we will try to win the world championship of F16 in Belgium.
We are currently in engineer School (INSA Rennes) where we can compile sail and studies as very well.”
Their next challenge will be Eurocat at the end of April, it will be a great fight in F16 class so it worths to follow their Facebook page
